Update on New Chinese Labelling Regulations for Packaged Food Imports

CCIC Seminar and Presentation from Stephen Xu – Manager, Food Department

China has cancelled the labelling registration requirements for first shipments of imported pre-packaged foods effective from 1 October 2019. According to officials, no longer requiring labels to be filed to accompany the initial order will speed up customs clearance………but what are the risks and challenges for packaged food importers under this new policy.  To explain the impact and potential risks CCIC will provide an update on the changes as well as offer some  “how to” advice in complying with Chinese labelling regulations.
